There is way too much danger in online shopping. The weight of holding all these books in an actual bookstore would’ve probably been a much needed reality check, but what can I say? It was an opportunity to get my hands on a few titles that I’ve been wanting for a while, and deals always sweeten, well, the deal. Let’s not even mention any of the clothes I bought on Black Friday.
I bought manga for the first time in a long time, and I wish I bought another volume of My Hero Academia. One of my favorite scenes is actually in volume nine, so who knows, maybe Christmas will come bearing superhero themed gifts.
Sometimes, in a twisted sort of way, I’m just in the mood for a mean character. The kind of heroes and heroines who take no prisoners, who do morally questionable things, and are just brutal. And I Darken is a risky gamble that I compounded by buying the sequel along with it, but I have faith that it’s going to pay off. It’ll be a pleasure to meet you (maybe), Lada.
And to wrap it off, I finally got my hands on the large paperback of The Way of Kings. I am absolutely in love with the floppy glory of this size when it comes to reading gigantic books. I also really like Sanderson’s U.K. editions, but I didn’t really want to pay for the price of two books instead of one. Maybe when I read Mistborn, I’ll fall deep enough in love that I’ll be compelled to replace my mass-market paperbacks with brand new white covers.
